Apple Varieties

New and Early-Season Varieties

Naturpac regularly updates its selection with new varieties, including Rosinette, which has been added to our usual selection. Starting in late summer, several early-season varieties are packaged and sold fresh: Jersey Mac, Delcorf, Sunrise, Lobo and Paulared are among the first apples harvested each season.

These apples stand out for their immediate freshness and limited seasonal availability, making them highly sought-after as soon as they arrive. Each variety is packaged according to the same quality standards applied throughout our production.

This diversity allows COOP member growers to diversify their crops while allowing buyers to refresh their selection from week to week. To learn more about this stage, visit our page dedicated to apple packaging, which outlines our sorting and packing methods.

Late-Season Varieties Stored for Longer

Several late-season varieties round out our selection and can be stored in controlled-atmosphere conditions to remain available well beyond the fall.

McIntosh, Spartan, Empire and Cortland are among the varieties that can be stored year-round, along with Primgold, Gala, Honeycrisp, Red Delicious and Ambrosia.

This storage capacity allows Naturpac to ensure a stable supply for grocery stores and fruit retailers, even outside the harvest season. Each variety retains its distinctive taste and texture thanks to careful management of storage conditions. This extended availability sets our selection apart and meets the needs of buyers looking for fresh apples in every season.
